Government Transformation Strategy

The Government Transformation Strategy, launched in February 2017, charts the direction of the total transformation of Government: in how we work; how we organise ourselves; and how we serve our citizens. It is the most ambitious programme of change of any government anywhere in the world. The ambition is to transform Government through the use of digital. Its vision is to transform the relationship between citizens and the state – putting more power in the hands of citizens and being more responsive to their needs.

We will have a panel of members from the Government Digital Service (GDS), led by David Lewis, their Director of Portfolio. David will provide an overview of the strategy and David Rennie will talk about the Identity Assurance Programme. (Other panel members will be announced shortly.)
